Making Your Own Customized Notebook

I am obsessed with notebooks and always have one with myself. Last summer I got a really awesome one in Toronto with sections. It was great but I have not been able to find another here. So when it ran out, I ended up just making my own buy printing out some lists. It was basic but pretty cool. It got my wheels turning.

I was pressed for time so I went on Etsy and Pinterest to search out some printables. There are TONS of them free and for a fee. I printed some of these file tabs, and these pages. And then I just got stuck at the ahhh-design website. Amanda Hawkins has all kinds of super cute printables. I ordered her calendar printables as well as printed a lot of her freebies.

I made a few other pages in my Photoshop program that were customized as well. Then I added some graph paper and some lined paper. Then for fin I added some colored papers. THEN, I found these awesome file folders at Target. I cut them apart to make dividers and covers for the notebook. Once I had the entire stack printed and ready to go I took them to my local print shop to have it spiral bound.

I have to say, it has been super fun to use. As soon as I fill this one up, I will be making more.

Have a great day,

Sewing Machine Applique Quilt

So it's been a few months and several other projects later, but I have finally finished my Sewing Machine Applique Quilt. Now I haven't had time to "officially" photograph it but here are some shots from my porch.

This is a quilt from the blocks that are from my Sewing Machine Wallhanging Quilt. I stitched up 12 instead of 4 and then added a top and bottom border of about 8 inches. I sewed all of the blocks at once, but once it got to piecing the blocks together...well it ended up on a shelf. When I actually got to it, it took no time at all to assemble.

I am having a PDF sale just in case you need to pick one up.

Have a great day,
Jennifer

New Notebooks and More

So I am a bit obsessed with notebooks. I always have one with me. They are great for jotting down ideas, lists, and more. These are four notebooks I had made at my local print shop. They are small and fit in your purse kind of notebooks measuring 4.25" x 5". I got some extras made up just in case you needed some notebooks as well. You can find them in the Jennifer Jangles shop and Etsy store.

Then while I was sprucing up the shops I decided to create some wholesale packs. You don't have to be a store to purchase these. I have grouped them together in larger quantities and then marked them down.

I went ahead and did the same thing with buttons. You'll find some great buttons packs in there as well.

Happy Shopping!

My Craft Suitcase

I posted a picture of my craft suitcase over on my Facebook page and some folks got excited. So here is my really long picture loaded post on my craft suitcase. I always take some kind of box filled with my craft supplies when we travel.

I had seen a few craft suitcases on Pinterest, and knew I needed my own. Because I LOVE to shop on Etsy that's where I went to start my search. I came across this little suitcase and scooped it up.

It's got room for all sorts of fabrics, ribbons, trims, beads, and more. I decided on a cork board for the top of the case that way I could pin things I was working on or ideas and sketches.

I made push pins by taking little tie tack pins and gluing buttons onto the pins.

They work really well and now I think I need more for cork boards at home.

It's all ready to take along on a camping trip in Lucy.

Here are some details of what I did on the inside. The case was in really good shape and I didn't really need to do anything. It was just a little boring so I had to spruce it up.

I cut a paper template of the bottom of the suitcase for my pattern. I ironed Therm-o-web's iron on vinyl onto the fabric to make it a surface that would stay clean.

To attach the fabric to the bottom of the suitcase I used double sided craft adhesive tape.

I went around the edges by hot gluing a cording to make it neat. I decided not to worry about the sides and leave them as is.

For the top section I glued fabric around the edge so it came partially into the center.

I glued trims around the outer edge and then used double sided craft adhesive to attach the cork board.

Last I glued some trim around the cork board. Then it was already to pack up.

Have a great day,
