Two Give A Ways

Hello, Hello,

I am so excited, I just pushed the "send" buton on my first Holiday Project e-mail of the season, wahoo! It's that time of the year again. My first order of business here with this blog post is to remind you that today is the last day to comment on one or both of the previous blog posts for give-a-ways. I will be choosing all three winners tomorrow.

Here is the first post to comment on to win the above assortment of holiday beads.

The second post is here and there are two chances to win an issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Gifts issues.

Alrighty, now that we have that business out of the way....I was planning on doing a post about fall, but the UPS man brought me something really exciting and I just have to give you a peek today. I can't wait!

It's my holiday decorations! I moved into my studio last year on December 1st and the only thing I could think about was my Christmas tree. The studio was the perfect excuse to buy a tree. At the time I really wanted a lime green tree. But the more I looked at them I realized I wanted to hang lime green things on my trees therefore, I needed another color of tree. I decided to hold off until this year. I ordered a few trees and wreathes a few months ago. They are here and I want to decorate them sooooo badly. Katie asked me how long until I would actually do it. I said, "Friday". Well, I at least have to assemble them tomorrow.

So we are in the full holiday swing here...got peppermint in my mochas, trees are going up, and the holiday projects are going out. Woot woot...

Holiday Beads and a Road Trip

Hey, Hey! I just loaded up a bunch of new holiday beads into the Etsy shop. This is it for the week beacuse I am off to Quilt Market. My mom and I leave today and we'll be driving. I have so much stuff and I am really hoping it all fits into the van I have rented. I am usually a light packer but this is such a new adventure for me I can't really know what to expect. So I am bringing everything I think I might need. If you're going to be at Quilt Market this weekend please... oh... please, stop by and say Hi. My booth is 2145.

I am hoping to post some pictures while on the road but they will have to be iphone pictures until I can get home with the camera and my computer. I have promised to take lots, I know there are many folks who want to see everything.

Wish me luck,

Holiday Beads

Good morning...
I woke up in a really Christmas-sy mood this morning. I am not sure what did this to me, but maybe it was all the photographing of Holiday beads that I did yesterday. Anyway, I am feeling the Holiday's now. I even put peppermint in my mocha this morning. I am ready to decorate and play the music, but I have to dig it all out and so that will have to wait until Halloween is over. But I am excited it's coming soon.

I added a whole bunch of new beads to the Etsy shop last night and this morning. I still need to take more photographs today and then I will be adding more listings, probably tonight. It's not just Christmas beads, there's found object mixes, pendants, etc. I know the holiday mood might not have hit you yet..... but hang around this blog and it will sooner or later, I promise.

Have a great day,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I know, I know, it's the first of September but for me it's time to be working on Christmas plans. I promise tomorrow I will be back to fall mode. I am even going to debut my new Halloween beads here tomorrow. Make sure you check back.

But in the meantime, this is what I have been working on. This is a wreath I made for a local United Way fundraiser. The wreaths will be auctioned off in November, but they were due last week. All of the stars and balls on the wreath are ceramic just in case you were wondering. Did you know I used to be a florist? When I saw they were looking for wreath donations, I jumped at the chance to make one.

These are my new little snowmen and trees. They are little gifts. These are for a store, they are going to use them to decorate their jewelry display cases for the holidays. How cute will that be? I have been busy making lots for galleries because this is the time of year store owners start preparing for the holiday buying season.

It may technically be the last weekend of summer, but in the Jangles world it's Christmas.

Have a great day!

Winter Wonderland

I know, it's 100 degrees out today, it's August, and I am thinking about the holidays.

I am so excited about this years 10 holiday projects that I am working on them already. These are the supplies I bought today from the local craft store that is selling holiday decorations. I have to make a tree for my ornament projects and I just need some holiday backdrops. Plus, I just love this kind of stuff. I just pulled out some great Christmas beads from the kiln. New ones, but they can't be unveiled yet. It does need to be a little closer, but not much longer. So I said this before and I will say it again, make sure your signed up to receive my e-mail newsletters. See the post below for more persuasion.

Have a great day, I will let you know how things turn out.
