Make a Friend Doll and Clothes Sewing Patterns

Hello!  Can I just say how much fun I had designing these for you?

My mermaid doll pattern has been very popular, but it never dawned on me to sew up a doll pattern, until recently.

I will tell you a bit about each pattern. First is the Make a Friend Doll. She is 20" tall and takes 5/8 of a yard of fabric to make. You can use felt or polar fleece for her hair. He pony tails can be customized by length and placement if you're making a doll to look like someone special.

Even though she is 20", she can wear those popular 18" doll clothes most of the time. And vice verse, those dolls can wear the Make a Friend clothes. Here are a couple photos of the dolls in the Make a Friend clothes.

Her feet are the size of store bought newborn socks and shoes.....more options to dress your friend.

And the sundress pattern is included with the doll pattern so she'll have something to wear while you're stitching up all of those other clothes in the wardrobe pattern.

This pattern has all sorts of options to keep you sewing for a while. The pattern comes with all if the options you see here. There are undies, socks, shoes, dresses, pants, shorts, and shirts. I am guessing you'll be able to come up with other outfits from the pattern as well.

I'm thinking about a sew a long, like we did with the Little Llama last year, what do you think? Let me know if that's something you'd like to do in the comments.

Have a great day,
Jennifer

New Sewing Patterns are Here

Hey Hey, i've got four new sewing patterns. They just got here from the printer yesterday. It's been awhile since I sewed up some animals for you, but there are lots now.

There's Daisy Hedgehog that you might have seen at the Sewing Party in September. She is now a paper patterns and available to everyone.

I think this pattern is my favorite of the four, it an appliqué quilt with only four blocks. Easy peasy to put together. It's 36" x 48" so it could also be a wallhanging.

Petunia Peacock Pin Keep is a sweet little peacock standing 7" tall. Her ribbon is for the prize she won at the state fair for her pin collection. Have fun storing your pins and needles with her.

And last but not least is Little Love Bunny. He's been so popular that he's been included in the paper line of patterns too.

As you may have seen, I am adding to my video stash over on You Tube. Here's one I did showing you my four new patterns. I just figured sometimes it's better to get to see them in video than just on their covers.

All four patterns are available as paper and PDF patterns.

Have a great day,

New Patterns in Print and PDF

Hey, Hey, Happy Tuesday! I am so happy to show you my four new Jennifer Jangles Sewing patterns. They are available in print and in PDF form and they are shipping now.

My goal for this round of sewing patterns was quick and easy. I know I love a sewing project that I can complete in an hour or so and I wanted to provide some of those as well.

The Class-y Storage pattern above is a great way to carry your sewing, quilting, crafting , etc supplies to class. The tote zips up so you can carry it with you. When you arrive at class un zip the bag and roll down the top. You've got a place to hold your tools. You will be the envy of all of your classmates with this one.

Quincy and Maggie have been a PDF for awhile now but they have been so popular I wanted them to be available in print as well.

At the top is a cute little wristlet with one of my signature flowers on it. And the Happy Birthday Cake Pin Cushion... it could be a gift for just about anyone. It's a cake you can keep! I'm going to make one for my niece, she likes to play chef.

The new patterns are in my shop and my Etsy shop. If you're looking for PDF's they are also available over at Craftsy. And if you're a quilt shop you can find them at Checkers Distributors.

Hope you like them!

The Real Otis and Rhubarb

I have a sewing pattern called Otis and Rhubarb. Otis was named after my dog. I needed a girl name for a dog so we decided on Rhubarb.

You've seen Otis on the blog a few times before. He's who I talk to during the day when I am working in the studio by myself. I know...the glamorous life on an artist, right?

Nik and I went out on a date last Saturday night, we were out of Gerbil food so before we could begin the date we had to stop by the pet store. We happened upon a sweet little rescue dog that was up for adoption. After lots of discussion, I went back the next day and brought her home.

What did we name her? Rhubarb of course!

My To Do List

I am STILL getting ready for Quilt Market. Yesterday I put the booth together for one last time. I am happy with how it has turned out so I started packing it up. I will be driving this time so there's a lot to fit into the car. My fingers are crossed that it all fits.

I still have to sew one of these

 Three of these

 and one of these

Then my sewing will be complete. Now buttons for sample spree are a whole different story. Still have loads of those to glaze. :)

Have a great day,
Jennifer

New Sewing Patterns

I have two new sewing patterns! Okey Dokey Owl and Lucy and Millie Mermaid. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. I just got them up on the website this morning. If you're thinking, "Jennifer, some of those fabrics don't look familiar to me", well stay tuned, I'll let you know why soon. In the mean time you'll notice that Lucy at the top of the mermaid pattern is sewn in Tussie Mussie. I've sewn Okey Dokey Owl up in all sorts of colors and fabrics and he has turned out cute every time. One of these days when all of my quilt market sewing is finished I'll take some pictures.

While I am mentioning new things on the website, I have started making button kits. These kits contain all of the button embellishments needed for my patterns. You can find them on the same page as my patterns.

If you're a quilt shop you can also find the kits and all of the patterns through E.E. Schenck and Checker Distributors.

Back to sewing for me! Have a great day,
Jennifer

Sewing with Tussie Mussie

Hey Hey! I have been sewing like crazy. I wanted to get samples made of all of my sewing patterns. Here they are in Tussie Mussie.

I'll do a little posting in between the patterns, I feel like I haven't talked to you. I have had lots of deadlines lately and so I have to avoid anything online while I am working so hard. But now things are being sent off and I am finding more time to check some other things off of my list.

I has a ball sewing with my new fabric, there are so many different options for colorways. There are lots of oranges, blues, and greens in the line as well. As you can probably tell from my sewing, I really like the reds.

This might be my favorite version of Rhubarb yet. I used red velvet ribbon for her hair and laces. Love it!

I am working on two new sewing patterns today. I am tweaking, editing, photographing, and more they still have some time before they head off to the printer. Hoping to have them by then end of April. Fingers crossed, that it all goes smoothly.

Have a great day,
Jennifer

Happy Monday

Morning....

Having a hard time waking up today. Yesterday I spent the day working in the yard, I trimmed bushes, used the chain saw to take down some bushes, weeded, mowed, and cleaned things up. Nik, who usually does these kinds of things with me couldn't help. He's got a torn tendon and a couple of buldging discs. He's got one arm strapped to his side in a brace so he doesn't move it.
I have muscles that are hurting today that I didn't even know I had, whew.

Today is a big day! I am shipping my booth to Salt Lake City. Wahoo, Quilt Market her I come(in a couple of weeks). It's going to be a great feeling to get that baby out the door. It's one less thing to think about and I love that.

That flower up above....it's the pin that goes on the front of the Lottie Dot Bag. The instructions are included in my new sewing pattern that should be here any day now. Just in case you were wondering.

Okey Dokey...gotta get this show on the road, lots to do today, have a good one,
