Bead and Button and Instagram Fun

 Hey, Hey!

I am buried in bead and buttons glazing. I leave in less than a week for Milwaukee! I can't believe it. This will be my tenth year exhibiting at the show. My baby who is now nine years old was a newborn...six weeks old. I don't recommend trying to do your first bead show when you baby is six weeks old. What was I thinking? Wither way it was a great success and look ten years later, I am still at it.

Let's do something fun today. I'm going to Instagram every hour today what I am working on. Maybe even more. If you follow me on twitter you can see all the photos. I'll #jangles so you can find them all. Plus, I got this nifty slideshow gadget on the side of my blog, you can see my images there as well. Oh... and you can see them on facebook too! Just posted my first pic now.

Hope to see you at Bead and Button...

Drops in Stock

Remember these? I just added some stock to the Etsy shop. And if you don't remember these then here is a link to the earrings where they were featured.

Speaking of featured, I just got my copy of the 2011 Beads Buyers Guide and I have beads in the guide. It's on news stands now.

Hope y'all are great out there....I am in crazy sewing mode this morning for Quilt Market that's next week! Yikes. I am also in the middle of designing new kits and projects for Bead and Button which is also way too soon. Yikes again! So I have got to get back to the sewing machine right now....talk to you soon,

Bead and Button Pictures

Hi all! I am back from Bead and Button. It feels good to be home, I could deal with a few degrees cooler but I am just hunkering down in the air conditioning. I am so glad we got it fixed up right before we left, it was 100 degrees yesterday. Yikes!

So here are some photos from my week and a half trip up north. I was teaching before the show started so it was a long one. We get to stay with our best friends while we are there so it's always fun.

First we drove up, and while we were headed up 65 in Indiana we came across a huge wind farm. We could not believe how many windmills we saw. They went on for as far as you could see and they were all spinning. It was super cool. When we stopped at a rest stop, we saw a truck carrying the parts for another. See how big those blades are?

We got to Milwaukee a few days early so our boys could hang out with our friends kids. They lived in Milwaukee for the first few years of their life, so they are always happy to return.

We went down to the lake and did some kite flying. There was no wind so it was more of a kite running day.
After the fun weekend, I started my classes. I taught five in all. If you are a teacher then you are also included in the Meet The Teacher Event. It's on Wednesday night before the show. Here is my little table with my fancy table cloth.

Seriously, is that bridge wearing a necklace?

Thursday is the start of the show. Here is what the hall looks like before most of the beads make it in.
Here is the start of my set up.

Here I am helping a customer and looking very serious.
And there we go, Bead and Button in a nut shell. For those of you who came, it was great to see you.

Have a great day,
Jennifer

Finally, I am back!

Whew! We took a detour through Indiana on the way home from Bead and Button. We stopped and stayed with family and took a few days to relax. It was lots of fun but now I am so happy to be home and back to normal. Well as normal as things can be. My boys are at day camp and I am back in the studio. It feels good. It is a mess and needs some TLC after all the rushing around before I left for Bead and Button.

As for Bead and Button, it was great. I was there for nine days. I taught five c;lasses and then had a booth at the show. I was busy, but I had a ball teaching and plan to do more next year. Before I left, I was talking about changing my booth from black to white. Here are a few photos of the tables. I was really happy with the white. I think it makes the beads stand out more.

While at the show, I didn't get a couple of "complaints" from my blog readers about not blogging as much. Now that the show is over, I am back to blogging on a regular basis, so you can start checking in everyday to get your Jangles fix.

Have a great day!

Bead And Button

I am off to the Bead and Button show. Here's a picture of my booth last year. It will be different this year. First of all I have a whole new display and lots of new beads, but more importantly, I have moved spots. I will be on the same aisle as I have been for the past six years but I will be up towards the front. The booth number is 1113. Hope to see you at the show.....

I will do my best to blog from the road but we all know how that goes :)

Safe travels if your heading to Bead and Button!

2008 Bead and Button Show

Hello There! I am back....Just barely though. We got home late last night. I am starting to unpack and getting things back in order. I really hate living out of bags so I have been working hard to get back to normal around here today. Above are some shots from the Bead and Button show. I will have more later, plus I want to show you my great finds and what I made in class.

All in all, the show was a great success and a ton of fun. I love getting together with beady people. While I was in Milwaukee I got to teach two ceramic bead workshops, debut my book officially, and sell some beads, I was on the go the whole time. I loved meeting some new people and getting to see some of my great customers in person. It's always nice to put a face with a name.

I hope everyone who was at the show made it home safely. Milwaukee had some terrible storms come through while we were at the show. You'll be hearing more from me later....

Have a great day,
Jennifer
