Why I like Christmas so Much

As you all know by now, I love Christmas. I thought I would list some reasons why...

1. I love the lights, I would have my yard done up in them all year round if possible.
2. I love all the bright colors, the glitter, the patterns on the wrapping paper, the shiny balls, I could go on and on.
3. I like to wrap presents.
4. I like to shop, even at 5:00 the day after Thanksgiving. Yes, I was out there, I wouldn't miss it for anything. I have gone with nothing to buy.
5. I like my family and friends so parties with all of them are fun.
6. I like to bake and this time of the year I have a good excuse to do it.
7. I love the hustle and bustle. Being crazy busy is fun when it's not all year round. Seriously, the long lines at the grocery store and Target make me happy.
8. People are friendlier this time of year.

What about you, what do you like about Christmas?

  1. I like the nice, warm feelings that Christmas brings out in everyone...People give more and help more and do more for each other...That's what I love about Christmas! Now, we just need to remember to do this the rest of the year.

  2. I love the holiday music and singing out loud; smiling at strangers and the feeling of peace when it's quiet and snuggling with my cat DCI Barnaby....

  3. Please put my name in for the drawing. The cold weather here is just perfect for your hot colored beads! Warms me right up.

  4. I love watching all the holiday shows! Especially the two I never miss (even though my kids are grown and think I'm crazy for still watching them) "Rudolph" and "Charlie Brown's Christmas". I've been watching them ever since I was a small child.

  5. I love watching the old shows too. When I wrap presents (always with REAL RIBBON!!!! "Fake" curling ribbon makes my hands, it really doesn't, but it should!) I always watch Holiday Inn with Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby. In fact I watch it over and over until I am done with the wrapping. And I love to put up the tree and reminisce about each and every ornament and then play I Spy with my kids. But since we just moved, we haven't done any of it yet. But we will! Enjoy the day! Erin

  6. i love watching the shows with my kids that i watched myself... i know all of the words to 'how the grinch stole christmas' and the songs in 'year without a santa claus' - you know, heat miser/snow miser... i like how people are a bit more attuned to each other's happiness... and the way the lights make me feel when i drive around at night...
