Selling Your Fabric Designs and Sewing Patterns

Hi there! This is the portfolio that I created and took to Quilt Market in 2009. I worked on the designs in this portfolio for about a year before putting them in the book. The front of the portfolio is a little quilt that I made with my designs and then had printed at Spoonflower. Inside, there were loads of pages with fabric designs. I have never taken pictures or shown this to anyone besides the folks at Quilt Market.

First Beads

As I am gathering all the supplies for my upcoming classes at Bead and Button, I am remembering my first beads. I have been working in clay for the past 19 years. I only started making beads 7 years ago. These are my first ceramic beads along with some glass beads that I made also. I started making glass beads for fun and had the realization that I should be making ceramic beads. After all clay is the medium I love. I have come along way over the years, but these weren't a bad start.

Back From Miami

Hi Everyone, I am back from Miami. What a fun trip it was! I am still unpacking, returning e-mails and getting organized from the trip and in the meantime here are some photos. I had twelve fabulous students in my two day workshop. The first day we were making ceramic beads. Day two of the workshop was painting and glazing. The last picture is of the great party that my friend Lynn hosted at her house. Doesn't that look like fun? It was.

I just want to thank everyone at JAG, the Jewelry Arts Guild of Southern Florida for hosting me and my workshop. The beads that all the students made are being fired this week. As soon as the kilns cool down, I will be sure to post the pictures. I think there are going to be some great beads.


We all had so much fun, there is already talk of me returning to teach another class in the future, so if your in the area stay tuned. I will post more tomorrow.....

Teaching, Teaching, Teaching

Hey everybody! I have just finalized the plans for three ceramic bead making classes this year. How exciting is that? Lets go in the order of which comes first....

I will be teaching a 2 day ceramic bead making workshop in Miami. This is for the South Florida Jewelry Arts Guild but anyone and everyone is welcome. The dates are April 19th and 20th.
