We are kicking off Christmas in July today! That stack of fabric is my new Jolly Holiday in the City collection from In The Beginning Fabrics. I'm going to give this stack away to one lucky winner.
You can enter here all week long.
I'm also having a huge sale on patterns. Now is the time to stock up on projects you think you might like to sew this month, next month, or next year. All of my PDF patterns are marked 30% off during Christmas in July. You can find all of them in my Jennifer Jangles Shop as well as my Etsy Shop.
First up is a list of free Pouches, Bags, and Baskets to make. These would all make good gifts for the holidays or any day.
I am currently hand quilting a baby quilt and also a batik quilt for our master bedroom - very pleased with how both are turning out!!

I haven't decided what I am making for gifts this year. I love those zipper pouches.
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely something about Christmas is July. I think Christians think about Christmas everyday and quilters definitely think about Christmas in July. Being librarian for my quilt guild, one of my duties is to purchase a book in memory for any member that we lose. Unfortunately, Friday night I was listening to the local news and learned that one of our members who sews for excessively for our charity project (needy children) was out picking up cans to turn in to get money for fabric to make things for bags for the first 100 paying customers each of the two days of our quilt show next year when she was attacked by dogs and mauled and killed. She certainly had a heart for service to others. One of her best quilt friends was found dead her home last yer and she had been over our charity quilting project and it took her a few months to get back to quilting and she did. I knew she was not wealthy and I had no idea that she was so needy or I certainly would have shared my fabric with her. You never know someone's circumstances, do you? When I was told of the book to purchase in her memory, I was told she like to sew scraps. I am very sad and yet so glad she is at peace now and not having to suffer from the attack. As her neighbor said, - can you imagine how scared she must have been knowing that no one was coming to help her. Every month she always had a quilt to present at show and tell for the children. If I win the fabric, it will be donated in her honor to the charity quilting program. I have fibromyalgia and just cannot quilt as fast as she could.

Right now I am finishing up on a king size quilt for my bed but I am about to start a quilt for my one year old granddaughter for her Christmas present. ReplyDeleteJennifer I can't get to or find the giveaway page. I go to BlogSpot.com, scroll down to where it say's "to enter click here" but there is nothing to click on. I click on the picture and it just shows a picture of the fabric. What am I doing wrong? Where is the giveaway? Please help.
