Painted Pillows

I've been on a bit of a pillow kick lately. My couches are really boring and Rhubarb in her puppy days had a thing for ball fringe. So any pillow I had is long gone. I challenged myself to make a new pillow every month this year. That way I would have a eclectic collection on my couches. I started last month with my crochet flower pillow. It ended up on a different couch. Hmm....

But this month it's painted pillows! I painted up a bunch of different designs on canvas and then stitched them up with some black and white and ball fringe.

And for some reason these pillows look good on my porch. Hmm, again. Still don't have any pillows for my couch.

Maybe next months pillows will make it there.

Have a great day,

  3. What type of paint did you use? The canvas must have been heavy to sew and turn. You artist skills shine through. I also love the pompom trim. Great job.

    1. Hi Terry,

I used acrylic paint and added textile medium to it. It comes in a jar in the craft section and can be added to any paint to make it good for fabric.
