Denise Freidhoff of Lauren Nicole Gifts
I'm doing something new this year for my weekly give-a-way associated with my Holiday Project Newsletters. My customers, my friends, my companies have generously donated their work for them. Each week I will feature a new artists prize for the week. Leave a comment here at my blog on this post to be entered to win. Then I encourage you to head over to the artist's blog. Make sure to say hi and introduce yourself while you're there. I know you'll like there blogs and sites and shops. My hope is that we'll all make some new connections from this.
Here's a little more about this weeks prize..
Denise made this wonderful Owl Pendant. The sterling silver
wax seal owl charm measures 3/4" tall. The owl wax seal charm was cast
from a 1970's wax seal stamp. She got loads of cute gifts in her shop, I'm sure you'll want to check them out.

ReplyDeleteOwls are especially meaningful to me, the day my brother died an owl showed up during the daylight and stayed out all day watching. The day my brother was buried, the owl left. It was if the owl was watching over me.

ReplyDeleteHow absolutely darling. Owls are very popular and Denise did a beautiful job of casting it. I'd love to be the lucky recipient and thanks for sponsoring the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI was in grade school in the 1970's, and we thought those wax seals were so "neat". This would make a great gift for my best friend from 5th grade. We're still very close--that's what is really neat.
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for owls. Unfortunately, my grand daughter has the same weakness, so when I get my hands on one and make a piece of jewelry, she spies it and says.........ohhhh, Mimi, he's so cute.......and of course, I say, Jessie......I got this just for you! I'd love this little fella. Jessie has enough owls.
ReplyDeleteLove the owl, he is so cute I would love to win him.

ReplyDeleteI love Owls. When I was in the Air Force the owls was my "symbol". You see, I was a Wing Historian. I wrote a Quarterly History (or diary) of the each Wing I to which I was assigned. I loved my job! The owl was my symbol because it symbolized wisdom and honesty. And also because of a now defunct newspaper cartoon called "Shoe". In which a writer was an owl. My favorite saying of his was "Writing is easy, you put paper in the typewriter and stare at it until beads of blood appear on your forehead!" I often felt that way! LOL!
