Hey, Hey! I just loaded up a bunch of new holiday beads into the Etsy shop. This is it for the week beacuse I am off to Quilt Market. My mom and I leave today and we'll be driving. I have so much stuff and I am really hoping it all fits into the van I have rented. I am usually a light packer but this is such a new adventure for me I can't really know what to expect. So I am bringing everything I think I might need. If you're going to be at Quilt Market this weekend please... oh... please, stop by and say Hi. My booth is 2145.
I am hoping to post some pictures while on the road but they will have to be iphone pictures until I can get home with the camera and my computer. I have promised to take lots, I know there are many folks who want to see everything.
Wish me luck,
Jennifer Jangles

Happy Fall
Happy Fall! I hope you're all out doing fun fall things on this Saturday. We're just waking up around here and I don't know what our plans are, I'm thinking a corn maze might be fun. But over the last few weeks we have been having lots of fall fun. We're only a few hours from the mountains so we have found ourselves up there a few times this month. We went to an apple orchard and picked apples. It was fun and beautiful. I could have picked apples all day.
I am kind of goign backwards here with my post...sorry it's how things are flowing this morning(pre-mocha). Above is a cute little house my mom made with my new Home Sweet Home Pattern. How cute is that? The fabric is Hallowgraphix by Jason Yenter just in case you need to get your hands on some.
My mom is going with me to Quilt Market next week. She and Nik's mom are coming down early to help me get ready. How nice is that? I am hoping she will sew some more houses for me. Once she does, I will post them.
The next few days are super busy packing up for the show, you might not hear from me for awhile. But people are asking for holiday beads....just to let you know by Wednesday they will be up. I even have a holiday themed necklace for this weeks newsletter.
Have a great day,

My New Sewing Patterns
Yippee! My Sewing Patterns have arrived! I am super excited about these. They were lots of long and hard work. They have been a year in the making....and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. I wanted them fancy so I went all out. They are printed in a large 6" x 9" book format, color all the way through, and photos and illustrations for every step. In the next few days I will show you more photos but it's raining outside today and so I can't do my photo shoot. I just can't wait any longer to show them off...

Supply Bags
Hey, Hey,
Have you gotten the premier issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Gifts? It's super cool! I have one of my favorite things to make as a project in the magazine. They are my hand painted supply bags. I love painting the fabric, sewing the bag, embellishing it, and then making a beaded handle for it. I like projects with lots of different steps. I guess that's why I love mixed media. In the magazine you get a full size pattern for the pencil bag. The instructions and photography are amazing. Cloth Paper scissors always has pretty photographs, I can't believe how good they made all of my bags look.
I know you're thinking those bags below don't look hand painted....You're right. But with all this Happy fabric floating around the studio I couldn't help myself, I had to make some. I love how they turned out and I am thinking these are going to be teacher gifts this year.
I love velvet ribbon, so I added a stripe across the front of the bag. I think it helps show off the supply tag.
I own an entire bolt of this purple flower fabric. You'll be seeing a lot of it, I love it!
I did sandwich some batting between the layers when I sewed these bags from the cotton. I did some fun wavy striped quilting on this one.
I have been making these supply bags for over a year now and everyone has been asking for these tags. I am offering them online now. You can find some on my website, along with my buttons which work great for embellishing as well. You can also find a handful of tags in the Etsy shop. Oh, and if you really just want a bag and don't want to make it, I have you covered in the Jangles Emporium.
If you leave a comment today, you could be entered to win the painted bag and a copy of Cloth Paper Scissors gifts shown in the top photo. I will announce the winner in next weeks holiday newsletter.
Have a great day,
Jennifer

Something to Drool On
Don't you just love this necklace? The nice folks at Lima Beads just sent me the picture. They just started carrying my beads along with C-Koop and Humble Beads. This necklace will be in their BeadStyle ad this month. I am drooling over it and I think I am going to have to make my own. I love all of the different elements going on and there's a locket! That way you can carry around a picture of your sweetie or your pet. How fun. I will also let you in on a little secret, you can get 20% off any locket you buy if you enter LOCK20 in the coupon box.

Ouch!
I spared you last week the post I was going to write about my gigantic bug bite. In a nut shell I woke up last Sunday morning with a bite on my leg that was a welt the size of a grapefruit. Since in Georgia we have things that can bite you and kill you I headed off to the ER. Luckily it was just a gigantic insect bite. I took pictures, but it was on my thigh and I'm not going to go posting my thigh all over the blog world.
So yesterday, I was working on the quilt market booth and I was putting a table leg on with my cordless screwdriver. The driver fell off the top of the screw and went into my hand. Ouch! You know that flappy part of skin between your thumb and pointer finger? It went in there. So I was off to the doctor. It wasn't a big cut just really deep. I had to get a tetanus shot and get it cleaned. I was told to put ice on it and keep it elevated. Kind of hard to work on your quilt market booth that way.
Today, I am on the mend but I have a history of stupid injuries and it's genetic, my dad has a list a mile long too. But that's another post, another day...
Have a good weekend,

Holiday Happenings
Hello, Hello,
The first Holiday Happenings newsletter is on it's way out. Check your inbox. This is not the project that was sent out today but it was mentioned in the newsletter. I put together another set of beads to make a found object necklace. My red combo sold out a few months ago. I didn't want to make the exact same necklace so I cam up with this combo. I am in love with the flower pendant. I put the sets on Etsy and when they are gone they are gone.
My challenge of the day is my Quilt Market booth. Several times in the past month I have wondered what I have gotten myself into. Quilt Market is one big ol fancy show. I need a top notch booth better than anything I have ever put together before. It's intimidating and overwhelming. I feel like I am getting there, you can see below my walls and floor, they were being painted today. I will keep you posted as I progress. The shows only a few weeks away so I need to progress a bit more quickly!
I mentioned in the Holiday newsletter today there will be a give a way each week during the holiday newsletters. Well this weeks newsletter revolved around found objects so I thought it would be fun to put a selection together for one lucky member. You can leave a comment to be in the drawing. If you place an Etsy or online order this week you will receive another chance to win.
It's back to work on my booth there's so much to be done. Have a good day,

The Big Give-a-Way
Hello, Hello,
Check out all of those boxes that went out last week! Whew, loads of shipping, it was really great to see it head out after six months of work. Stores are slowly getting there buttons and fabric. I have started a list and in a few days I will give you all a list of where you can find them.
I have some fabric and buttons to give away. I decided instead of giving three smaller prizes, I would give one big ol'huge prize. Wouldn't you love to be the winner of this? You get a fat quarter of all 27 of my fabrics and some buttons. Leave me a comment and you'll be entered. Also while you're leaving me the comment, let me know what you would make with all of that fabric. I will choose a winner randomly so don't worry about your answer, I'm just curious.
This is yet, another big week for Jennifer Jangles. Holiday newsletter start this Wednesday! I can't believe that it's October. How did that happen? So I am scurrying around here like one of Santa's helpers getting beads pulled and ready for Etsy. I've got some new ones planned as well as kits and jewelry. It's so exciting! I know some of you are thinking it's way too early for this but I spotted Christmas decorations this weekend when I was in Atlanta. Crazy eh?
Let's see you have until next Sunday to enter the give away. It might be confusing but there will be another give away on Wednesday, that one is part of the holiday newsletters. Get signed up if you're not already.
Happy Monday!
Jennifer
