My Granny Square Crochet Throw

I finally finished my Granny Square Crochet Throw that I feel like I have been working on forever. If you follow me on Facebook, I've been posting lots of pictures on there through my Instagram. I fell in love with this super cheap value yarn at Michael's. Seriously 2.50 a skein.

The reason I fell in love with it? It had everyone of my favorite colors in it.

Lime Green
Turquoise
Orange
Hot Pink

I could not pass it up. Actually I went back and bought three more skeins just to keep on hand.

I am completely new to crochet and am loving it. I decided to make a lap throw/wrap for my studio. It's a little chilly in the mornings. Plus, it just makes my chair look pretty when I'm not using it. You can never have too much color.

I crocheted a rectangle out of the variegated yarn, then did a border of granny squares. It was lots of fun. Now I would love to make an entire blanket from granny squares, I can't imagine how long that would take.

Have a great day,

  6. Ha ha, the gold one. :) I go by color so I can't remember.

Just went and looked...it's an H hook.

I am making a shawl this week and I had to buy a P for it and it came with a Q hook. It is gigantic and I can't wait to try it out on something.
