DIY Retro Felt Ornament


Supplies needed:
Felt for bulb 5" x 10"
Felt for top 2" x 2"
Cording approximately 10"
Assorted trims at least 5" in length
Thread
Fiberfill

Instructions:
1. Stitch trims across the middle of the front bulb. Trim to match the edge of the bulb.

2. Place the two bulb pieces together and stitch around, leaving the top open. Fill the bulb lightly with fiberfill.

3. Place the two bulb tops so they are over the top of the bulb on each side. Knot the cord and place in between the two layers of felt. Stitch around the outer edge.

No Sew Candy Ornament


Supplies needed:
Clear vinyl cut in to a  7" x 7" square
Fabric scraps
Styrofoam ball 2.5" diameter
Ribbon approximately 12"
Cording for hanging 10"



Instructions:
1. Tear or cut fabric into 1" strips. Wrap these strips around the ball to cover completely.
2. Wrap the ball in the vinyl just like a piece of candy is wrapped. Secure with a ribbon tied at both ends.
3. Tie the cording around one of the ends and knot to secure.

DIY Sewn Ball Ornament



Supplies Needed:
2 scraps of fabric measuring approximately 6" x 6"
1 pom pom approximately 1.5"
1 tassel
Ribbon 16"
String or yarn approximately 10"
Fiberfill

Instructions:
1. With right sides facing, place two sets of ball pieces together of different fabrics. Sew down one side of the set. For the second set, sew down one of the sides as well but leave an opening in the middle for turning later.

2. Align the two sets together at the remaining sides. Sew all the way around the pieces.

3. Clip any curves and joins, turn right side out, fill with fiberfill and hand stitch closed.

4. Sew the tassel to the pom pom and the pom pom to the bottom of the ball.

5. Knot a 8-10" piece of yarn and tack to the top of the ball. Tie a bow and tack stitch at the bas of the yarn as well.

DIY Felt Tree Ornament


Supplies needed:
tree felt
trunk felt
star glitter felt
ribbon
floss
fiberfill
Printable pieces can be found here.

Instructions:
1. Tack stitch the stars to the front tree according to the dots on the pattern piece. 
2. Place the two tree pieces together. Slide the trunk in between the two layers and pin to secure. Fold the ribbon in half and slide in the top. Pin to secure.
3. Stitch around the outside of the tree. When you are close to reaching the starting point, stop stitching, fill lightly with fiberfill and then stitch closed.

Giftcard Holder Ornament


Supplies Needed:
Green Felt 9" x 12" sheet
White felt 4" x 6"
Red pom poms or felt balls 1/2" diameter
Ribbon 9"
Six strand floss
Needle and thread


Instructions:
1. Place the white felt on top of each green side. With six strand floss, stitch across the top. 

2. Place the two stocking pieces together and tuck a ribbon end under each side. Pin to secure. Stitch around the outer edge being sure to secure the ribbon ends.

3. Tack stitch pom poms on to the three fringe points as well as the toe.

DIY Felt Gnome Ornament


Supplies Needed:
Felt 6" x 6"
Fur 3" x 3"
Felt ball 3/4"
Six strand floss 
Cording approximately 10"

The printable pattern pieces can be found here.



Instructions:

1. Place the felt on top of the back piece. Arrange the hat on top, making sure the top edge of the fur in underneath the hat. Knot the cord and slide in between the felt at the top of the hat. Secure with a pin. Stitch around the hat.

2. Tack stitch the nose on.

DIY Pineapple Ornament




Supplies Needed:
Pineapple fabric scraps or 1/8 yard
Felt for leaves 5" x 5"
Cording or yarn approximately 10"
Fiberfill
Needle and thread

The printed pattern pieces can be found here.


Instructions:
1. Arrange the three leaves in a fan shape. Place the base of them at the top of the pineapple front with the tops facing inward.
2. Knot the cord and place on top of the leaves with the loop facing inward. Arrange the remaining side of the pineapple on top with right sides facing.
3. You might need to tuck in the leaves some, then pin around the outer edge. Sew around leaving and approximately 2" opening along the bottom.
4. Clip the curves turn right side out. Fill with fiberfill and hand stitch closed.
